Huntingdon train stabbings hero speaks for first time after horror knife rampage

Stephen Crean has spoken out for the first time after bravely confronting a knife-wielding attacker on a train bound for Huntingdon station. Crean was travelling home from a football match when passengers began fleeing his carriage shouting about a man with a knife. He intervened when the attacker was threatening passengers and managed to grab the assailant's arm before the man allegedly slashed him on the head. Crean also grabbed the blade, resulting in severe injuries to his hands, and sustained cuts to his lower back and buttocks. Despite his injuries and being hailed a hero, Crean insists he is "just a normal guy" and "just did what anyone else would do." He stated he has no regrets and was able to slow the attacker down, allowing other passengers to escape.
