House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan has launched an investigation into Virginia prosecutor Parisa Dehghani-Tafti. Jordan alleges that Dehghani-Tafti is obstructing an investigation into alleged threats and intimidation against Trump aide Stephen Miller and his family.
The probe stems from Dehghani-Tafti's reported request to a local judge to limit a search warrant and the sharing of information with the FBI regarding a woman accused of distributing flyers that identified Miller’s home address and contained menacing messages. The flyers, posted by 66-year-old Barbara Wien, also featured an image of Miller’s head in a red circle and linked to an activist group Jordan claims Dehghani-Tafti supports. On the same day the flyers were posted, Wien allegedly made a gesture to Miller's wife indicating she was being watched.
Jordan contends that Dehghani-Tafti’s actions, which he describes as partisan, show a willingness to disregard threats of political violence and actively side with those making them. He has demanded all documents and communications from Dehghani-Tafti's office pertaining to the case by November 27. The Millers have since moved out of their Arlington home due to the alleged harassment.
