The House Ethics Committee has initiated a probe into Representative Cory Mills concerning allegations of campaign finance violations, improperly receiving gifts, and sexual misconduct. An investigative subcommittee will examine claims that Mills failed to disclose required information on House statements and broke campaign finance laws and regulations during his 2022 and 2024 election campaigns.
The investigation will also determine if Mills improperly solicited or received gifts, including those associated with privately sponsored travel connected to his official duties, or if he received special favors due to his position. Additionally, the subcommittee will investigate allegations of misconduct related to sexual misconduct and/or dating violence, as well as any potential misuse of congressional resources or status by the Florida Republican.
Representatives for Congressman Mills have not yet provided a comment.
