A woman in her thirties was sexually assaulted while on her morning jog in Stowmarket, Suffolk. The incident occurred between 5:45 and 6:00 AM on Wednesday along a pathway off Iliffe Way.
Police are conducting an urgent manhunt for a white male suspect, described as approximately 5ft 10in tall, of medium build, wearing a dark woolly beanie hat, a thick dark rain jacket, and dark trousers. The attacker was also reported to smell strongly of cigarettes and cannabis.
Suffolk Police are treating the incident as extremely distressing for the victim and are investigating all avenues to identify the perpetrator. They have increased police presence in the area and are appealing to the public, particularly dog walkers, commuters, and other runners who were in the vicinity around the time of the attack, to come forward with any information.
