New York Jets cornerback Kris Boyd, 29, is in critical condition after being shot outside the restaurant Sei Less NYC in New York City. Police responded to a 911 call at approximately 2:09 a.m.
on Sunday, November 16, and found Boyd with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. He was transported to Bellevue Hospital in critical condition.
The NYPD stated that no arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing. A spokesperson for the New York Jets confirmed awareness of the situation but offered no further comment.
Boyd was drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in 2019 and previously played for the Texas Longhorns.
