James Bond film director Lee Tamahori dies at 75 after long illness

Renowned film director Lee Tamahori has died at the age of 75 after a prolonged illness. Tamahori, who was of Māori and British descent, was born in Wellington, New Zealand, and began his career in the film industry in the late 1970s. He gained international recognition for directing the 2002 James Bond film "Die Another Day," starring Pierce Brosnan and Halle Berry.
