The Conservatives allege that Nandy failed to declare donations from David Kogan, her chosen candidate to chair the new football watchdog, thereby breaching the code on public appointments. A probe found that Nandy had unknowingly broken the code by not disclosing Kogan's £2,900 donation to her 2020 leadership campaign. Nandy apologized for the breach, stating it was unintentional and that she recused herself from the appointment process once the conflict of interest became apparent.
