Michigan football is reportedly set to hire Jim Harding as their new offensive line coach, bringing him over from Utah. Harding, who has also served as assistant head coach at Utah, is considered a top offensive line coach in college football.
Since 2015, he has developed 12 players who earned first-team all-conference honors, and he is expected to have two offensive linemen selected in the upcoming 2026 NFL Draft. Harding has been with Utah for 12 seasons under coach Kyle Whittingham, establishing the Utes' offensive line as one of the nation's best.
He previously had coaching roles at Missouri and Wyoming, and also served as head coach at Troy High School in Michigan. Harding's history includes coaching 11 first-team All-Big 12 or All-PAC 12 selections and having seven Utah offensive linemen drafted into the NFL.
At Michigan, he will be responsible for developing the team's young offensive line.
