Half-naked woman was allegedly tortured and chained in Texas backyard for months by five ‘friends’ who didn’t ‘like her anymore’

Police in Austin, Texas, responded to a 911 call on October 30th and found a woman in a backyard, handcuffed to exercise equipment and half-naked. She displayed signs of severe injuries consistent with prolonged restraint. Firefighters were needed to cut through the restraints. Five adults present at the home attempted to flee but were apprehended by officers. Two small children were also found in the home and taken into protective custody. The arrested individuals have been identified as Michelle Garcia, 51, Crystal Garcia, 21, Mache Carney, 32, Juan Pablo Castro, 30, and Maynard Lefevers, 21. According to the victim, she had been friends with Michelle Garcia but at some point, the group decided they no longer liked her and held her captive. She reported being kept outside for weeks, beaten when attempting to escape, and fed only one meal a day. She stated she was punished by being shot with a BB gun and left chained overnight when her pants fell down. Medical examinations revealed extensive injuries including open wounds, swelling, tissue loss, scarring from BB pellets, and facial trauma. A BB was found lodged in her right eye.
