Porn star Devyn Michaels has been found guilty of murdering her ex-husband, Johnathan Willette, whom she decapitated. Willette's headless body was discovered at his home in Henderson, Nevada, on August 6, 2023.
Prosecutors stated Michaels was motivated by jealousy after Willette gained sole custody of their two children. Michaels told police she struck Willette with a "candlestick-like" object during a massage, causing his death.
She then severed his head, placed it in a laundry basket, and disposed of it in a neighborhood trash can. The victim's head has never been recovered, nor has a murder weapon.
Michaels had previously married Willette in 2012, divorced him in 2018, and subsequently married his son, Deviere Willette, in what she described as a marriage of convenience. Deviere Willette testified that he had no involvement in his father's death.
Michaels faces a life sentence with or without parole when she is sentenced on January 8. She had previously pleaded guilty to second-degree murder as part of a plea deal but later withdrew it, sending the case to trial.
