A fire on Sunday night completely destroyed the North Carolina home where NASCAR driver Denny Hamlin's parents live. Authorities in Gaston County reported that two individuals were hospitalized due to the blaze, which firefighters battled for approximately two hours to control.
While the names of those hospitalized were not released, the Lucia-Riverbend Fire Department Chief confirmed that the driver's parents resided in the home, which public records indicate is owned by Hamlin's real estate company. Fire crews arrived to find a significant portion of the house already engulfed in flames, though they were able to save valuable assets including expensive cars and racing memorabilia stored in the garage.
Hamlin, a notable figure in NASCAR with multiple accolades including a three-time Daytona 500 champion, had a successful 2025 season, finishing second in the Cup Series standings. He also holds a co-ownership stake in the 23XI Racing team with Michael Jordan.
