A new report alleges that the Muslim Brotherhood is halfway through a 100-year plan to infiltrate and transform Western society from within, with a particular focus on US college campuses. The Institute for the Study of Global Antisemitism and Policy (ISGAP) published a 200-page report detailing what it calls the group's "civilization jihad" strategy, which aims to undermine democracy by embedding itself in educational institutions, government agencies, and other key areas.
University campuses are identified as a crucial strategic arena for the Muslim Brotherhood's influence. The report specifically names the Muslim Students Association, which has chapters on over 600 campuses, as a primary vehicle for this campus influence.
Additionally, the Students for Justice in Palestine group is cited for its effectiveness in advancing Brotherhood objectives, particularly in relation to the Israel-Hamas war, and for cooperating with the MSA. ISGAP is calling on the US government to designate the Muslim Brotherhood as a Foreign Terrorist Organization to counter its alleged efforts.
This call follows a recent action by Texas Governor Greg Abbott, who formally labeled the Brotherhood and the Council on American-Islamic Relations as foreign terrorist organizations. The Muslim Brotherhood, founded in Egypt nearly a century ago, is described as a transnational Sunni Islamist group with offshoots linked to past violent attacks, though its leaders maintain they have renounced violence and seek Islamic rule through peaceful means.
