Linda Sarsour tells followers she will ‘hold Zohran accountable’ if Mamdani wins NYC mayoral race

Activist Linda Sarsour has stated she will hold Zohran Mamdani accountable to his campaign promises if he wins the New York City mayoral race. In an Instagram livestream, Sarsour explained that she and her coalition will not work within Mamdani's administration but will remain outside to ensure he fulfills his commitments, including the dismantling of an NYPD unit that polices terrorism threats, protests, and riots. Sarsour, who has been a mentor to Mamdani and co-founded a political nonprofit that supports him, emphasized the importance of having individuals outside City Hall to monitor and challenge elected officials. She made it clear that if Mamdani takes actions that are deemed wrong, she will publicly state that he is wrong and hold him accountable to his supporters.
