La Voix, a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing, has withdrawn from the competition entirely due to an injury. The 45-year-old was unable to perform in Blackpool as planned.
Following advice from the show's medical team, it was confirmed that La Voix had to leave the competition for medical reasons. As a result of La Voix's withdrawal, only six couples competed this week, and there was no elimination or dance-off.
The scores from this week will be carried over to the next episode, meaning all remaining contestants will return next week. La Voix expressed her devastation at not being able to dance in the iconic Blackpool Tower Ballroom, stating her focus is now on recovery.
La Voix, whose real name is Christopher Dennis, was partnered with professional dancer Aljaz Skorjanec. A spokesperson confirmed that La Voix would have automatically advanced to the next round if she had been medically cleared to continue.
This is the second contestant to withdraw from the current season due to injury, following actor Stefan Dennis.
