'KPop Demon Hunters' Sequel Eyes 2029 Release

Netflix has greenlit a sequel to "KPop Demon Hunters" and is targeting a 2029 release. The streaming giant has finalized a deal with directors Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans, who will return to helm the project, alongside Sony, the original developer of the film. Animated movies require significant production time, hence the projected release year. "KPop Demon Hunters" follows the story of Huntr/x, a K-pop trio whose members are also demon hunters. The film's plot involves them confronting a rival boy band, the Saja Boys, who are secretly demons. The voice cast for Huntr/x includes Arden Cho, May Hong, and Ji-young You, while the Saja Boys are voiced by Ejae, Audrey Nina, and Rei Ami.
