Seven children lose mum after death of dad, aunt and grandparents

Michelle Bailey, a mother of seven, died on October 18 at the age of 53, three months after being diagnosed with cancer. Her illness was discovered in July when she was hospitalized with what was initially suspected to be a stroke. Scans revealed she had five tumors in her lungs, above her kidney, and in her brain. Her death followed a series of family tragedies. In 2022, Michelle lost her sister and father to cancer. The following year, her mother also died from the disease. In April 2024, Michelle's husband, Craig, passed away due to heart and kidney failure, with Michelle having cared for him throughout his illness.
