Vice President JD Vance condemned political activist Nick Fuentes for using a racial slur against Vance's wife, Usha Vance, who is Indian American. Fuentes also labeled JD Vance a "race traitor" during a livestream.
Vance stated unequivocally in an interview with UnHerd that anyone who attacks his wife, regardless of their name, can "eat s---," declaring it his official policy as vice president. He further expressed that antisemitism and all forms of ethnic hatred are unacceptable within the conservative movement.
Vance's strong reaction came during Turning Point USA's AmericaFest conference, where he also addressed the issue. The article also references a previous comment made by Jen Psaki, former White House press secretary, on a podcast suggesting Usha Vance needed to be rescued from her husband.
JD and Usha Vance have been married since 2014 and have three children. Usha Vance previously worked as a lawyer and clerked for Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts and Justice Brett Kavanaugh.
