Actor and comedian Jeffrey Garcia, widely recognized for voicing Sheen Estevez on the animated series "The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius," has passed away at the age of 50. Garcia was hospitalized in late November due to pneumonia and was taken off life support on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at a Southern California hospital. His son, Jojo Garcia, confirmed his father's death, remembering him as a unique soul with immense love, compassion, drive, and a one-of-a-kind talent for voice acting and stand-up comedy.
In the months preceding his death, Garcia experienced several health issues. He suffered a brain aneurysm in the spring, which led to a fall and head injury. Although he recovered from the aneurysm, he had a stroke several weeks ago. Despite his declining health, reports indicate Garcia initially refused treatment but eventually canceled recent performances due to his condition. His lung collapsed on Monday, December 8, after he reported difficulty breathing, leading to the decision to remove him from life support.
Garcia began his career in comedy in the early 1990s, performing in Southern California clubs. He transitioned to acting, with appearances on television shows and in films before achieving his breakthrough in the early 2000s as the voice of Sheen Estevez in the film "Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius." This role led to the spin-off series "The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius" (2002-2006) and the follow-up "Planet Sheen" (2010-2013). Garcia also lent his voice to animated films such as "Barnyard," "Happy Feet," "Happy Feet Two," and "Rio." His final film role was in the 2024 comedy "Holy Cash," and he appeared on "Comics Unleashed" in late October. Garcia was previously married to Lisa Garcia from 2002 to 2013, with whom he had two children.
