Astronauts stranded after spacecraft hit by suspected space junk

Three Chinese astronauts are currently stranded in space after their return capsule was hit by suspected orbital debris. The crew of the Shenzhou-20 mission, launched in April, was scheduled to return to Earth on November 5th after completing a six-month stay on China's Tiangong space station. The impact from what is believed to be a small piece of space junk has caused the mission to be postponed. A replacement crew, launched on October 31st, has already arrived at the space station, and both teams are now onboard while an assessment of the damage and associated risks is conducted.
