The total amount raised by Wednesday reached £1,411,021, a figure Cox found "mind-blowing" and expressed immense gratitude for, thanking donors and Radio 2 listeners. Earlier in the week, she had been overcome with emotion upon learning that she had raised £439,225 in a single day, and over £331,000 on another day.
