The RMT union has announced strike action by CrossCountry workers on four Saturdays in December: December 6, 13, 20, and 27. This action is expected to cause significant travel disruption during the Christmas period.
The union cites unresolved issues regarding pay, staffing shortages, and previously agreed commitments as the reasons for the strike. RMT general secretary Eddie Dempsey stated that CrossCountry has failed to address these core issues and has presented an offer that is considered worse than previous proposals.
The RMT is demanding that CrossCountry return with a serious offer that upholds its prior commitments and treats its members fairly and with respect.
