Liam Payne's sister, Ruth Gibbins, stated that missing him has become "part of breathing" a year after his funeral. She expressed that time has not eased her grief over the tragic death of her brother, who passed away at 31 in October 2024 after a fall from a hotel balcony in Argentina.
In an Instagram post, Ruth described the "infinite loss" she feels for the One Direction star, marking the anniversary of his funeral as the "hardest goodbye" and stating she has had to live a life without him since. She previously shared that grief over his death paralyzes her daily and that his passing is the "loss of my life," someone she will miss at every life occasion.
Liam's other sister, Nicola Gibbins, also shared a poem about coping with grief, describing it as a constant presence that can range from a light shower to a storm. Meanwhile, an inquest into Liam Payne's death, which was scheduled for earlier this year, has been delayed until next year pending the submission of full reports and eyewitness statements.
Previously, in February, a court in Argentina dropped criminal negligence charges against three of the five individuals initially charged in connection with his death.
