A United Airlines flight from Dallas to Chicago was forced to make an emergency landing in St. Louis after a passenger claimed his wife had a bomb in her luggage.
The aircraft, Flight 380, landed safely at St. Louis Lambert International Airport around 8:39 a.m.
on Sunday. Law enforcement, including the FBI and bomb-sniffing dogs, searched the plane after all 119 passengers and five crew members deplaned.
The passenger who made the claim was arrested. The airline confirmed that law enforcement searched and cleared the aircraft, and the flight was able to continue to Chicago.
The flight experienced a delay of over five hours. The incident is being investigated by the FBI.
