Youths are believed to be responsible for starting a fire in a park located in Haxby, a suburb of York. The incident occurred on Monday evening, November 17th, at approximately 7pm.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service received a call reporting a fire in Hunters Close park. A fire crew from Huntington was dispatched to the scene and extinguished the blaze, which involved a bin, using buckets of water.
The fire service has stated that the cause of the fire is believed to be intentional and due to the actions of youths.
