King Charles strips warrant from company that supplied Royal Family's salmon for 35 years

King Charles has revoked the Royal Warrant of Mowi, a Norwegian-owned company that had supplied fresh salmon to the Royal Family for 35 years. Mowi, the world's largest producer of Atlantic salmon, had held the warrant since 1990. This decision comes after undercover footage emerged earlier this year, allegedly showing Mowi staff mistreating salmon at their Loch Harport site. The footage led to serious non-compliance notices from the Soil Association for inhumane killing and record-keeping failures, and the RSPCA suspended Mowi from its animal welfare assurance scheme.
