A two-year-old boy died after an apparent fall from the 20th floor of an apartment building in Newark, New Jersey. Newark police responded to a call about an injured toddler shortly before 7 a.m.
on Saturday and found the child unresponsive at the Elizabeth Towers high-rise. The child was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Essex County Prosecutor's Office is investigating the incident and believes the death was accidental. Video footage showed a window open on the 20th floor of the building.
Authorities are seeking information from the public and have provided a tips line for the investigation.
