A 14-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of assaulting an emergency worker after a policewoman was punched in the face while guarding a murder scene. The incident occurred on Tuesday evening when two officers were approached by a group of children on Egglescliffe Close in Stockton.
The group reportedly became verbally abusive, jumped over fences to access the property, and jumped on a police car. The 14-year-old boy has since been released on conditional bail.
The investigation into the murder of David Cuthbert, aged 49, who was found dead at the property on Saturday, is ongoing. Two 18-year-olds and a 19-year-old have been charged with his murder.
