Newly released emails between former Harvard President Larry Summers and convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein reveal Summers joking about women being less intelligent than men. In an October 2017 email, Summers wrote to Epstein, "I observed that half the IQ in world was possessed by women without mentioning they are more than 51 percent of population…" These emails, exchanged between 2013 and 2019, show regular communication between Summers and Epstein on various topics including women, politics, and Harvard.
The emails also show Summers referencing Harvard's rescinded admission of Michelle Jones, who had served prison time for killing her son, and comparing it to the university's reaction to "hitting on a few women." He questioned why murdering a child was irrelevant to admission, but past sexual misconduct could prevent someone from working at a network or think tank.
Beyond these exchanges, Summers also sought information from Epstein about Donald Trump, questioning the plausibility of him being a cocaine user. The correspondence further indicates Summers frequently asked Epstein for advice regarding women, including discussions about past romantic entanglements and perceived difficulties in relationships. Summers also sought Epstein's advice on raising funds for his wife's educational project. The last known email between them was in March 2019, a few months before Epstein's arrest.
