Morgan Rogers has been selected to start for England in their World Cup qualifier against Serbia, ahead of Jude Bellingham. This decision comes after manager Thomas Tuchel suggested that Bellingham and Rogers were competing for the same midfield position and that the current team structure might not accommodate both playing together. Bellingham, who recently returned from shoulder surgery and was also left out of the previous international fixtures, will begin the match on the bench. Rogers has impressed during Bellingham's absence and has earned his start. Nico O'Reilly will also make his England debut at left-back.
