Valve bring back Steam Machine PC console with new controller and VR headset

Valve has announced a new console-like PC called the Steam Machine, alongside a new controller and VR headset called Steam Frame. This marks a return to console hardware for Valve, who previously attempted to break into the market with the original Steam Machine concept in 2013. The original Steam Machine aimed to provide an easy-to-use gaming PC running SteamOS, with the idea that third-party manufacturers would produce various models. However, the concept failed to gain traction and was quietly abandoned, partly due to high prices of some models. The new Steam Machine is a compact, square device designed for desktop or under-TV placement, and is reportedly six times more powerful than the current Steam Deck, capable of 4K gaming at 60fps.
