A fire erupted in the cellar of a Queens home early Sunday morning, resulting in the death of a 95-year-old woman. Two other individuals, a 68-year-old woman and a 6-year-old girl, sustained critical injuries.
Firefighters arrived at the scene within three minutes of receiving reports of the blaze and deployed over 60 personnel to combat the fire. They were able to rescue three people from the burning building.
Emergency medical services administered CPR to the child at the scene. All individuals rescued from the home were transported to local hospitals for treatment.
