Metro Bank’s credit file markers are adding to the pain of our son’s death

A couple experienced significant distress when Metro Bank refused to remove late payment markers from their credit file, which were added after they missed two mortgage repayments during the difficult final months of their 19-year-old son's life. Their son had suffered a long and challenging illness, requiring extensive care and frequent visits by the parents, which, along with the stress of his passing and funeral costs, led to the missed payments in February and March.
