British Airways has expanded its trial of reward flights bookable for just £1, now extending this offer across all of Europe. Previously, this option was limited to select routes and charged Executive Club members a flat rate of £35 for taxes, fees, and carrier charges on top of Avios, with Club Europe tickets incurring higher charges.
To qualify for the £1 fare, members must have earned at least one Avios in the past year. Examples of the new pricing include round trips to Edinburgh for £1 and 16,000 Avios, or to Venice for £1 and 22,000 Avios.
Alternatively, customers can still opt to use more Avios and pay a higher fee, such as 9,000 Avios plus £31 to Edinburgh, or 15,000 Avios plus £35 to Venice. This initiative aims to provide Executive Club members with more flexibility in redeeming their Avios, allowing them to travel with minimal cash expenditure.
