Apple TV has secured an exclusive five-year deal to broadcast Formula 1 in the United States, beginning in 2026. The agreement is reportedly valued at $160 million annually.
This new deal follows Apple's collaboration with Formula 1 on the recently released "F1" movie. Formula 1's current broadcast partner in the U.S., ESPN, will conclude its coverage at the end of 2025, after a successful partnership that began in 2018.
Formula 1 president Stefano Domenicali highlighted the existing relationship with Apple through the film production, expressing a shared vision to engage and expand the sport's fanbase in the U.S. with live broadcasts and year-round content. Apple senior vice president of services Eddy Cue echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the opportunity to provide subscribers with "front row access" to the sport.
