FBI Arrests Two Men Over Harvard Medical School Explosion

Two Massachusetts men, 18-year-old Logan D. Patterson and 20-year-old Dominick F. Cardoza, have been arrested for an explosion at a Harvard University building. They each face a federal charge of conspiracy to damage by fire or explosive, which carries a maximum five-year prison sentence. The pair were reportedly attending Halloween activities at Wentworth Institute of Technology when security footage allegedly captured them walking towards Harvard’s Medical Campus. According to an affidavit, the suspects were seen on surveillance cameras near the Goldenson Building, which houses brain research laboratories, around 2:23 a.m. The footage reportedly shows one suspect lighting what appeared to be roman candle fireworks. They then allegedly scaled a fence into a construction area, used scaffolding to reach the building's roof, and entered the fourth floor where the fireworks were set off.
