Police issue major update after 9-month old baby died in dog attack

A nine-month-old baby boy has died following a dog attack at a home in Crossway, Rogiet. Emergency services, including police and ambulance crews, responded to the incident on Sunday evening. Paramedics pronounced the baby dead at the scene. Gwent Police confirmed that the family dog involved in the attack has been sedated, removed from the property, and put down at a vet. Police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the fatal attack and are working to establish the breed of the dog. No arrests have been made at this time.
