Stoke City manager Mark Robins has signed a new three-and-a-half-year contract with the Championship club. Robins, who took over on January 1, has guided the team to third place in the league, two points off automatic promotion spots, after securing their second-tier survival last season.
His coaching staff have also agreed to new deals. Club chairman John Coates stated that Robins is the "right fit" for Stoke City and expressed encouragement over the team's progress on the field and the supporters' galvanized backing.
Robins himself conveyed that he is "hugely proud" to be manager and is "fully committed to the long-term process of bringing a successful future to this club," acknowledging that the journey will involve both enjoyable and tough periods.
