Russian missile attacks on Ukrainian energy facilities kill at least seven

Russia launched a barrage of missiles and drones at Ukraine, killing at least seven people and damaging energy infrastructure in three regions. The attacks targeted energy facilities in Kyiv, Poltava, and Kharkiv regions, with officials reporting significant damage to electricity, water, and heating provisions. In Dnipro, a drone strike on an apartment building resulted in three fatalities and 12 wounded. Another person was killed in the Kharkiv region, and three died in the Zaporizhzhia region. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Russia launched over 450 drones and 45 missiles, the majority of which were intercepted. Following the strikes, Zelenskyy called for increased sanctions against Moscow, demanding a response targeting all Russian energy sectors for each attack on Ukraine's infrastructure aimed at harming civilians.
