Lewis Cope and his professional partner Katya Jones achieved the first perfect score of 40 this series during the week nine live show at the Tower Ballroom in Blackpool. The competition was reduced to six couples as Ru Paul's Drag Race UK star La Voix was forced to withdraw from the competition permanently due to an injury.
La Voix's withdrawal meant there was no dance-off that week, and all remaining couples advanced to the next round. Separately, a man linked to the show was arrested on suspicion of rape.
The alleged incident reportedly occurred after a BBC event in 2024, and the alleged victim was not a contestant or professional dancer. A BBC spokesperson stated they would not comment on an ongoing police investigation.
Hertfordshire Police confirmed the arrest and stated that inquiries were continuing.
