Mosrab Ali, a 54-year-old Uber driver from Blackburn, died in a head-on collision on Wigan Road in Bolton early Sunday morning, January 11th. The crash also claimed the lives of three teenagers who were in the other vehicle, a red Seat Leon.
Two passengers in Mosrab Ali's taxi sustained life-threatening injuries and were hospitalized. Ali's family, including his daughter Humayra, have paid tribute to him, describing him as "the gentlest soul" and "the best dad," highlighting his kindness and safe driving record over ten years as a taxi driver.
Humayra stated that CCTV footage of the crash indicates her father was not at fault. Greater Manchester Police are investigating the collision, have secured CCTV footage, and are appealing for any witnesses who have not yet come forward to contact them.
The police also facilitated the family's opportunity to say goodbye to Mosrab Ali at the mortuary, which was opened specially for them on a weekend.
