YouTuber Jack Doherty was arrested in Miami Beach on November 15 after allegedly disrupting traffic to film content. Police state that Doherty, 22, intentionally blocked a roadway around 3:12 a.m.
despite multiple commands to clear the area. He reportedly responded to officers by saying he would move after finishing a bet.
Body camera footage showed officers handcuffing Doherty while others filmed him. During the arrest, officers found substances believed to be amphetamine and cannabis in his pockets.
Doherty, who has a large following on YouTube and TikTok, faces charges including possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, and resisting an officer without violence. He was released on bond the same night of his arrest.
Doherty later stated the incident occurred because he took too long to cross the street at 3 a.m. when there was no traffic, and that he believed police "just wanted to lock me up" but acknowledged he "learned my lesson." Following his release, Doherty posted videos online about his arrest, including one showing him with people he met in jail and subsequent videos where he pokes fun at the situation.
His arraignment hearing is scheduled for January 14, 2026. Miami Beach Police emphasized their commitment to public safety and stated they will hold individuals accountable for behavior that endangers others, regardless of their celebrity status.
