Paedophile Lostprophets singer Ian Watkins has been murdered in HMP Wakefield, with his former girlfriend stating she is "surprised it took so long" for him to die. Watkins' throat was reportedly cut by a fellow inmate on Saturday morning, and despite emergency services attending, he was pronounced dead at the scene. The 48-year-old was serving a 29-year sentence for numerous child sex offences, including the attempted rape of a baby.
