Democrats on the House Oversight Committee have released approximately 70 new images from Jeffrey Epstein's estate, a day before the Justice Department's deadline to disclose its files on the case. These photographs, sourced from Epstein's computer and email accounts, offer further insight into his lifestyle and associates. The collection, provided without explicit context, includes images of notable figures such as Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates with a redacted woman, and linguist Noam Chomsky seated next to Epstein on a plane. Other pictures depict social gatherings, with prominent individuals like Google co-founder Sergey Brin and New York Times columnist David Brooks also appearing. Brooks's attendance at a 2011 event, described as a widely attended dinner for a column, was confirmed by The New York Times, stating he had no prior or subsequent contact with Epstein.
The newly released images also feature Epstein with several women whose faces are redacted, and in one instance, pointing out a window while seated next to a woman on a plane. Some photographs include close-ups of a foot and a neck, with quotes from Vladimir Nabokov's "Lolita" inscribed on the skin. Additionally, the batch contains unidentified individuals' identification cards or passports from countries like Russia and the Czech Republic, Epstein's own passport, a screenshot of text messages seemingly discussing the scouting of young girls with age and body measurements, and a bottle of phenazopyridine. Political strategist Steve Bannon and filmmaker Woody Allen are also pictured with Epstein in some of the released photos. House Oversight Committee Democrats stated their intention to continue releasing documents and photographs from Epstein's estate to ensure transparency, urging the DOJ to release the complete Epstein files.
