A man was fatally shot by an officer at St. Louis Lambert International Airport after he wielded a knife.
The incident occurred around 1 a.m. on Friday morning outside a terminal.
Police officers observed the unidentified man in an unauthorized area and instructed him to leave, but he refused. When officers attempted to escort him away, the man produced a knife.
Authorities deployed Tasers, but the man continued to advance toward the officers. In response to the perceived threat, one officer discharged their firearm, resulting in the man's death.
No other individuals were injured during the incident.
