UK union accuses GTA maker Rockstar Games of firing employees attempting to organise

The Independent Workers' Union of Great Britain (IWGB) has accused Rockstar Games, the developer of Grand Theft Auto, of firing over 30 employees in the UK last week for attempting to organize. The union claims these dismissals were retaliatory and unlawful, stemming from the employees' membership in an IWGB game workers union Discord channel. Rockstar Games, in a statement to Bloomberg, denied the union busting allegations, stating the workers were fired for sharing confidential company information in a public forum, not for union activities. The IWGB refuted this, asserting that communications were private and within legally protected trade union channels, with no information being leaked publicly.
