Cambridgeshire train stabbing: suspects both British and ‘nothing to suggest’ attack was terrorism, say police – latest updates

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following a stabbing attack on a high-speed train from Doncaster to London. The incident occurred on Saturday evening, and the train made an unscheduled emergency stop at Huntingdon station where police tasered a man with a knife. One suspect is a Black British national and the other is a British national of Caribbean descent; both were born in the UK, aged 32 and 35 respectively. Eleven people were treated in hospital, with four now discharged. Two individuals remain in a life-threatening condition. British Transport Police stated that while counter-terrorism units initially supported the investigation, there is currently nothing to suggest the attack was terrorism.
