‘Intentional’ Explosion Took Place at Harvard Medical School, Officials Say

An explosion occurred in the Goldenson building of Harvard Medical School early Saturday morning, which authorities have described as an intentional act. A Harvard University Police Department officer arrived at the scene after a fire alarm was activated at 2:48 a.m. and observed two individuals fleeing the building. The officer attempted to apprehend them before entering the building and discovering the explosion on the fourth floor. The Boston Fire Department's arson unit determined the explosion was intentional.
