La Voix, a drag star competing on Strictly Come Dancing, was forced to withdraw from the competition due to an ankle injury sustained during rehearsals. The news of her withdrawal was announced during the live Blackpool show, and she later joined the cast at the wrap party, showcasing her recovery boot.
La Voix expressed her devastation at having to quit the show on medical advice, stating that her spirit wanted to continue dancing but her foot had other plans. The injury, a deep bone bruise where her toe joins her foot, was caught before it could become a stress fracture, which would have required six to eight weeks of recovery in a boot.
Despite her forced exit, La Voix attended the wrap party in a black lace jumpsuit, showing her support for the remaining contestants. Her withdrawal meant there was no dance-off that week, and none of the remaining eight couples were sent home.
